Silver Lake Sand Dunes Area Chamber of Commerce
Silver Lake Sand Dunes Area is a Michigan Beachtown located along Lake Michigan’s sweeping shoreline just a few miles west of US-31 between Muskegon and Pentwater, Michigan. A short few hours drive from Chicago, Detroit, Traverse City and the Mackinac Bridge.
This site presented us with a unique challenge of creating a single Web presence for two Chambers of Commerce’s and one Convention & Visitors Bureau. Although much of the ground work had already been done by their marketing and Web committees with the branding of the "Think Dunes" campaign, the Web site was their final goal in this process that Gaslight was proud to produce. Now the Hart - Silver Lake - Mears Chamber of Commerce, the Silver Lake Area Chamber of Commerce and the Silver Lake Sand Dunes Visitors Bureau have the ability to manage their entire Web site using Gaslight Media's custom database applications.
The launch of the www.ThinkDunes.com Web site includes many features that enhance the experience for their members and visitors. Using a complete database approach to developing the Web site, Think Dunes has complete control over their Web site growth, member interactions within the Web site, visitor retention and marketing efforts in promoting the Silver Lake Sand Dunes Area.

The Chamber members have many new interactive features to take advantage of. The ‘Member Only’ area of the Web site gives members the ability to:
- Update their member profile record, which includes their text description, images, amenities and business contact info. Member update notifications are sent directly to Think Dunes admin staff, pending their approval for posting the changes. The Think Dunes admin staff can review and approve changes prior to posting live to the Web site;
- Enhanced Listings give members management to add additional text and images to their member profile displayed to visitors;
- Manage coupons that members offer. Members are able to add and change their coupon information as often as they wish during their contract term. Visitors are able to view, select and print their choice of coupon promotions from the public side of the Web site, which are displayed in a print friendly PDF format;
- Manage events - members can add events to the events calendar that can be displayed on the thinkdunes.com Web site;
