YMCA Michigan Youth in Government

Democracy must be learned by each generation.

The State YMCA Youth In Government program provides high school and middle school students with a unique opportunity to become acting state legislators, governors, lobbyists, lawyers and committee chairs.  The purpose of the program is to develop within youth a dedication to the values of democracy and leadership in the democratic process.

The program directors of the YMCA Michigan Youth in Government (MYIG) came to us with the goal to develop a new Web site that will meet their communication objectives as the organization and program continues to grow. As a result, the development team at Gaslight Media produced a site that accomplishes the following:

• Design a new site to incorporate the current national YMCA brand standards.
• Implement the GLM Toolbox for the administrators of the MYIG Web site to take control of their Web site content.
• Develop a site structure that is more cohesive to their business objectives, connecting with students, advisors and program alumni.
• Promote the MYIG program and conferences through an email marketing strategies using the GLM Communicator.
