In 2007, the Mackinac Bridge will have joined Michigan's two beautiful peninsulas for 50 years. To celebrate this milestone in Michigan's history, many exciting events will take place in the Straits area. The Mackinac Bridge 50th Celebration will take place on July 27 - 28, 2007. As part of the 50th celebration, the Mackinac Bridge Authority has undergone a complete Web site transformation, and has made available archived images that until now, have never been seen by the public. The official Mackinac Bridge Web site site features a live camera, newsletters and photo gallery, as well as live weather conditions.
