Beaver Island Boat Company
The Beaver Island Boat Company has been offering ferry service for over 25 years to Beaver Island Michigan - America's Emerald Isle. Each year their ferries make approximately 375 round trips to the island, travel over 24,000 miles, transport over 40,000 passengers, carry around 6,500 vehicles and approximately 15,000 tons of freight to the island - making this service a lifeline for many islanders.
With their new site, the Beaver Island Boat Company has all of the tools and applications in place to manage their site, including a couple of custom features:
- News/Info area on the home page: using the GLM Toolbox, critical information can be presented to visitors on the home page such as schedule changes and island information.
- Dynamic Schedule: this is a custom solution Gaslight Media created to allow Beaver Island Boat Company total management of their boat schedule online. Visitors can search departure dates from anywhere in the site, as well as see the master schedule for the year.
