Celebrating the Mackinac Bridge

Published On: November 9, 2016Categories: Latest Articles

The ‘Mighty Mac’ is probably the most recognizable landmark in northern Michigan. We were honored to help celebrate this majestic icon’s birthday last week (November 1st), in which the Mackinac Bridge marked its 59th year connecting the Upper Peninsula to the Lower Peninsula of Michigan.

It is one of the most fascinating drives (or walks if you choose to participate in the Bridge Walk that is traditionally held on Labor day), which crosses the Straits of Mackinac, connecting Mackinaw City and St. Ignace. Both destinations are hubs that service one of the top tourist destinations in the US – Mackinac Island.

The Mackinac Bridge Authority aims to provide safe and expedient passage, offering great services  like the live web cams and current bridge conditions.

Visit the MackinacBridge.org website, where you can find unique Mackinac Bridge memorabilia and collectibles such as tokens, dvd’s and posters.

Gaslight Media was proud to launch this new website, which was revamped with several new features and custom plug-ins developed by Gaslight Media, including, a new sleek mobile friendly design, making it easy to view and navigate on smartphones and tablets and the incorporation of their newly updated blog with social sharing tools.

Visit the Mackinac Bridge Authority for updated bridge conditions, tours and information and of course, for our famous Mackinac Bridge live cams! Need a site as good as this? Gaslight Media can help!
